The good news is that he could now be available for just £10 million.

The Hammers’ need for a top class striker has been well-documented since last summer.

That was before we sold Sebastien Haller! So David Moyes’s need for at least two centre-forwards is now an urgent one.

One player to have been persistently linked with a move to the London Stadium since January is Adam Armstrong.

West Ham Adam Armstrong hopes dealt blow but handed boost at same time

According to The Telegraph, the Hammers now face competition from Norwich City for the explosive 24-year-old striker.

The good news is that he is now available for just £10 million (The Telegraph).

That’s £6 million cheaper than his previous £16 million price-tag (The Express).

Armstrong would be the ideal addition for the Hammers this summer. He fits the mould of a David Moyes signing perfectly.

The 24-year-old is incredibly mobile, possesses blistering pace and works his socks off each and every time he takes to the pitch.

Armstrong is a great finisher as well. He finished second in the Championship scoring charts behind only Ivan Toney with 28 goals in 40 league games for Blackburn this season (Transfermarkt).

£10 million sounds like great value to us. Let’s just hope that West Ham manage to beat Norwich to the Blackburn ace’s services this summer.
