West Ham United are reportedly in talks to sign Aston Villa target Marcos Acuna from Sevilla this summer.

According to a report from 90min, West Ham could beat Aston Villa to the signing of Marcos Acuna, and are currently in talks to bring the Argentinian World Cup winner to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.

However, if Acuna is the man Moyes wants, the Scot will have to beat Unai Emery to his signature. The Villa boss is desperate to bring the 31-year-old to Villa Park this summer according to the Birmingham Mail.

It seems as though West Ham have made a strong push to beat the west Midlands outfit to the South American’s signature though…

West Ham are now in talks to sign 31-year-old World Cup winner Marcos Acuna

90min claim that the Hammers have opened dialogue with Sevilla to bring the Argentinian ace to the London Stadium.

Now, I would prefer it if Moyes signed a young full-back with bags of pace, energy and most importantly, potential.

However, if Acuna is a stop-gap signing just for a season or two then I’m all for it. He is a real winner, with seven trophies to his name throughout his career including a World Cup winner’s medal.

The Sevilla ace actually has pretty impressive pace and he is a real threat going forward.

Incredibly, he once bagged nine goals and 13 assists in 25 games for Racing Club back in 2016/17 season (Who Scored) – not bad for a left-back eh!

If West Ham manage to sign him for a bargain fee – something like £8-10 million – then I think he’ll be a decent addition for us, and would certainly provide solid cover for Emerson Palmieri.
