Hammers boss David Moyes tried to sign the 25-year-old attacker in January according to a report from The Telegraph.

The East London outfit are desperate to sign a striker before the transfer window closes in order to provide more competition and cover for Michail Antonio.

We have been linked with a plethora of strikers since Sebastien Haller left for Ajax in January.

One of the attackers to have been linked with a move to the London Stadium is Hwang Hee-Chan.

And it seems as though the 37-capped South Korea international is back on our radar.

That’s according to Mike McGrath:

We think that the RB Leipzig ace would be a fine addition for the Hammers.

The RB Leipzig attacker has been described as a superstar in the making by Korean website K League United.

Hwang possesses an impressive career record, with 63 goals and 43 assists to his name in 207 appearances (Transfermarkt).

The 25-year-old is a hard-working striker and possesses real quality in the final third. He is also incredibly versatile and is comfortable playing anywhere along the front-line.

The Telegraph recently claimed that the Hammers could sign the South Korean for just £10 million this summer.

That seems like great value to us. Hwang Hee-Chan would provide stiff competition and adequate cover for Antonio – just what the 31-year-old needs.
