West Ham and Southampton interested in Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg – report

West Ham are the latest club to be linked with Ajax hotshot Kasper Dolberg, according to Calcio Mercato.

The Hammers could be in the hunt for a new striker in the summer with Andy Carroll out of contract and the futures of Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez and Lucas Perez uncertain.

As per this report, West Ham and Southampton are thinking about swooping for Dolberg, who has been linked with a host of top clubs.

Dolberg is widely considered to be one of the best young strikers in Europe. He is currently at Ajax, where he is thriving in the Dutch top division.

This season, the 21-year-old has netted nine goals in 16 Eredivisie games to add to his growing reputation.

The youngster burst onto the scene in the 2016/17 season, scoring 23 goals in 47 appearances for Ajax before netting nine times last term.

The Denmark international has also represented his country at senior level on 10 occasions, scoring once.

As well as West Ham and Southampton, a number of clubs have been linked with Dolberg in the past.

Italian media outlet Il Corriere dello Sport via Calcio Mercato reports that Arsenal, Manchester United and Napoli are keen on the Ajax starlet.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and AC Milan have also been linked in the past, as per Marca.
