The 22-year-old Red Bull Salzburg hitman has been in electric form this season.

He has absolutely lit up the Austrian Bundesliga. 34 goals and 12 assists in just 42 games is nothing to be sniffed at (Transfermarkt), that’s for sure.

At just 22, Daka could very well go on to become one of the very best strikers in the world.

And he could be picked up for just £17 million this summer (Salzburger Nachrichten). What an incredible bargain that would be!

West Ham to beat Liverpool to Patson Daka?

According to a report from Zam Foot, the Hammers are currently leading the race to sign the fleet-footed Zambian.

Both David Moyes and Jurgen Klopp are allegedly in the race for Daka’s signature.

By all accounts, the RB Salzburg ace is more likely to be plying his trade at the London Stadium rather than Anfield next season.

And what a huge statement of intent it would be from West Ham if we signed Patson Daka this summer.

The fact that we are even being mentioned as possibly beating Liverpool to his signature is a sign of real progress.

With Europa League football on the horizon, Moyes will probably be able to attract players of a greater calibre to East London this summer.
