After landing young striker Daniel Cummings, West Ham have now agreed personal terms with a game-changing second signing – beating AC Milan to his signature.

West Ham confirmed signing strikers and midfielders was the top priority this summer.

Graham Potter is looking to bring in at least two forwards while West Ham’s ageing and immobile midfield is set to be completely overhauled.

The Hammers are lining up a host of sales to pay for Potter’s plans.

West Ham have issued a major update on the future of Mohammed Kudus.

It’s been revealed three Premier League clubs have registered their interest and the Hammers are awaiting official bids.

West Ham making early transfer moves

With Kudus and a number of others being shipped out, West Ham know they have funds coming in.

Space has already been cleared with the departure of six players.

Michail Antonio could make that seven in the coming weeks.

The Hammers are targeting at least five signings as part of Potter’s rebuild around young, exciting stars.

The manager wants to trim the squad down to 19 or 20 senior pros as he feels the current 26-man squad is too bloated for a team not in Europe.

After the season-ending win at Ipswich Potter made a bold claim about West Ham’s transfer plans.

The Hammers boss said his head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay has been ‘very busy’ and that he will now work with him and David Sullivan to get stuck into an ‘exciting and interesting’ summer revamp – even while on a family holiday.

It seems he was not exaggerating either.

Young Celtic striker Daniel Cummings has been confirmed as West Ham’s first signing of the summer.

Cummings has agreed to join the Hammers to be part of Potter’s first-team squad.

Now West Ham have agreed personal terms with a game-changing second signing as AC Milan admit defeat.

West Ham agree terms with game-changing second signing

Earlier this week a top West Ham reporter revealed Potter’s number one target is Club Brugge midfield star Raphael Onyedika.

Nigerian defensive midfield lynchpin Onyedika is into the last two years of his contract at the Belgian club and there is no option, or intention on the player’s side, for it to be extended.

Club Brugge have admitted they must sell this summer with a bargain fee touted.

Onyedika’s club have even already signed his replacement.

Other top clubs, including AC Milan, have been sniffing around 24-year-old Onyedika, who bears more than a passing resemblance to Moises Caicedo.

Now there has been a hugely exciting update from Africa.

A source for the CAA Stellar agency who represent Onyedika has told AfricaFoot that West Ham have already agreed terms with the player.

The report states the midfield ace is very keen on the move as he wants to play in the Premier League.

And now West Ham have made direct contact with Club Brugge to thrash out a deal with the asking price at £20m.

That is more than Milan are willing to pay so the Italian giants have dropped out of the race.

Milan admit Onyedika defeat as West Ham hold talks over fee

Onyedika joined Club Brugge in 2022 from Danish side Midtjylland FC – the same club West Ham once snapped up Winston Reid from.

The midfielder has since made 141 appearances, 52 of them coming last season.

He is the defensive shield and player who sits in front of the back four, starting the play for his team and looking to end it for the opposition.

Onyedika has scored six goals and laid on four assists but his game is all about breaking up play and being the beating heart of the team.

Now it is over to Sullivan to agree a deal to get Onyedika signed, sealed and delivered for Potter.

If he does, it will be a great start to the summer transfer window, which officially opens on Sunday June 1.
