West Ham United could be set to deal a major blow to Arsenal in the January window.

Both West Ham and Arsenal are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements in the January window, with Graham Potter and Mikel Arteta really short in that particular department.

Potter is said to want three new signings through the door at the London Stadium in the January window.

And the Hammers’ transfer business is set to explode into life after the arrival of Kyle Macaulay.

However, we are still waiting for our first signing of the window.

The same can be said for Arsenal, with no new players having come into the Emirates yet.

And now it seems like West Ham could be set to scupper one of the Gunners’ main transfer plans in January.

With just 10 days remaining before the window slams shut, the Hammers owners should be getting their ducks in a row now concerning transfer targets.

It goes without signing that the signing of a striker is a necessity this month.

However, Arsenal will be praying that we don’t sign one man in particular.

And according to The Mirror, Silva’s proposed move to the London Stadium would cause real pain for the Gunners.

That’s because RB Leipzig won’t be prepared to let Benjamin Sesko leave, as well as Silva.

So Arsenal fans will be praying that we don’t sign Silva this month.

Florian Plettenberg recently claimed that West Ham are deep in negotiations with Leipzig, about signing Silva, and are close to agreeing a deal.

The key thing here is that I don’t actually want us to sign the 29-year-old striker either.

West Ham moving in for Andre Silva has certainly raised some eyebrows given his struggles over the past few years.

He’s had terrible calf and hamstring problems recently, and has missed nearly two years of football since the start of the 2022/23 season.

The Hammers have to be so much more ambitious than eyeing up strikers like the Portuguese front-man.

If West Ham sign Andre Silva in the January window, the majority of Hammers fans will not be happy one little bit, and neither will the Arsenal supporters it seems.
