It’s been just over a week since Mo Diame left West Ham for the orange and black stripes of Hull City.
Since Mo Diame left, we all know what has happened. He has scored two good goals, one of which was against West Ham and the other was a screamer vs Tim Krul at a subdued St James’ Park.
I don’t believe it is a bad move by Sam Allardyce and he soon replaced the Senegalese by bringing in Cameroon international Alex Song. Also, we got a substantial fee for Diame, whereas Song was brought in a year loan which suited both us and Barcelona.
Diame may have impressed the Hull City fans so far but although he scored screamers for West Ham versus the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, he goes off the boil quite a lot in matches. He loses the ball frequently and very easily I must add, whereas Alex Song stands strong much more and has much desire than Diame.
In the long run, I believe that Diame will not enjoy his stay at Hull City as they’re not in the top six, which is where he wanted to be at this stage of his career. His performances will soon decrease as he lacks passion, desire and full commitment to the team.
WelI I do thank Mo Diame for his services at the club but I am not sad to see him go. Good work, Sam!
Up the Hammers!
