West Ham United were recommended as a possible next destination for Aaron Ramsey last week, and not for the first time.

talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan suggested that Ramsey ‘sounds like a West Ham acquisition’ (August 11th, 12pm).

The 29-year-old left Arsenal for Juventus on a free transfer last summer.

But he has struggled to impress with the Turin giants, racking up just four goals and one assist in 35 games (Transfermarkt).

Ramsey suggested for West Ham after report claims he is not wanted at Juve

Ramsey now has no future at Juventus under new manager Andrea Pirlo, according to the Mirror.

And the 58-capped Wales international is right up West Ham’s street according former Crystal Palace owner Jordan.

“It depends what Aaron Ramsey you’ve got,” Jordan told talkSPORT.

“Aaron Ramsey would grace most of the Premier League clubs…well, if it’s the Aaron Ramsey who left Arsenal. You can’t help but think a player coming back, with the level of injuries he’s had in his career…

“I hate to say it but he sounds like a West Ham acquisition. If you can nick him at £60-£70k-a-week because Juve are willing to let him go on loan, then that opens the door for a variety of teams in the Premier League.”

Gunners great also tipped Ramsey for Hammers

It was not the first time Ramsey has been linked with a move to West Ham either.

Gunners great Lauren said West Ham and Ramsey would be the perfect fit before the Welshman opted to join Juve at the end of his Arsenal contract (Sky Sports).

But it appears any hopes West Ham boss David Moyes might have of bringing back Ramsey back to the Premier League are slim.

Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio has told Sky Sports News he expects Ramsey to remain at Juventus.

Italian transfer guru rules out Ramsey exit

“I think Aaron Ramsey will stay,” Di Marzio told Sky Sports News.

“He is on a lot of money, with a good contract, so it would be difficult to find another solution. Also I think he is not the one Juventus want to sell.

“(Sami) Khedira is the one. (Blais) Matuidi has finished his contract. So I think Ramsey will stay at Juventus.”

So there you have it West Ham fans, Ramsey is unlikely to be available for a sensational return to London.

Mind you given Ramsey’s injury record perhaps that will come as a relief to Hammers fans.

Particularly as they have watched Jack Wilshere’s disastrous West Ham career with frustration as Ramsey’s former Arsenal teammate continues to struggle to stay fit long enough to get in the Hammers team.

There are also the obvious question marks.

Namely whether West Ham could afford Ramsey’s wages.

And whether he fits the profile of player Moyes wants to sign with the emphasis on young and hungry recruits.
