'Unreal signing', 'Steal' - West Ham fans excited by links with £20m Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos

West Ham are reportedly edging closer to signing Dani Ceballos. According to The Express, West Ham and Real Madrid are locked in talks over a £20m deal for Ceballos.

Zinedine Zidane has told Ceballos he has no future at Real Madrid. And West Ham could be his next home with Manuel Pellegrini keen to raid his former club.

The 22-year-old plays in central midfield, which is an area that needs strengthening at West Ham, and he is a highly-rated young player.

Ceballos previously played for Real Betis, where he racked up over 100 appearances, scoring seven goals. He moved to Real Madrid in summer 2017.

At the Bernabeu, Ceballos has played just shy of 50 games. He has scored five times for the Spanish giants but finds himself down the pecking order under Zidane.

After returning to Real Madrid, Zidane wants a squad overhaul. Ceballos is one of the players who will be allowed to leave as West Ham discuss this deal.

West Ham supporters flocked to social media to share their views. Here are several tweets from Hammers fans discussing whether the Spain midfielder would be a good signing.
