Hammers eye Jota move

It has been rumoured in the last few days by Sky Sports News HQ that we are readying a move for Brentford forward Jota. The Spaniard netted 12 goals in 27 games for The Bees last season and is being valued at around £8 million. However, the Championship Side’s Chief Executive Mark Devlin is confident that the club can keep the former Celta Vigo star, as serious talks between the player and any other club are yet to occur. So, could the 25-year-old be the latest creative spark to light up The London Stadium?

Bilic keen on Bremen star

While we have announced a two-legged tie with German side Werder Bremen in the pre-season Betway Cup, it is still unclear as to which side striker Max Kruse will be walking out with. Slaven Bilic is reportedly very keen to get a deal for the former German international over the line, as calamitous attacking signings like Jonathan Calleri look set to leave. Injuries to players like Hammer of the Year Michail Antonio and Goal of the Season winner Andy Carroll, also former top goal scorer Diafra Sakho, have made signing strikers pivotal in this window. Kruse himself managed to notch 15 times in The Bundesliga last season and looks set to be the answer to our attacking troubles next season.

Hammers miss out on Dimata

It has been confirmed in the last 24 hours that we have missed out on securing the services of Belgian forward Landry Dimata. Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have confirmed the signing if the 19-year-old, who scored 11 goals last season in The Belgian Pro League. So, with another young star going by the wayside, who will we turn to next in the attacking department?

Old flame to relight?

Many Hammers fan will remember one of the biggest transfer sagas of the 2016 summer window, as we failed to sign AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca after a long ordeal. The agent of The Colombian international is now claiming that a move to The London Stadium could still be on the cards, with Marseille and Arsenal are also reportedly interested. The news comes just under 12 months after the former Sevilla man told Slaven Bilic that he didn’t want to play for the club. So, could we still manage to pull off one of the most unlikely deals of the 2017 summer transfer window?

Big clubs queue up for Obiang

It has been rumoured by The Mirror this week that several clubs from Europe’s top five Leagues are interested in a move for our Spanish midfielder Pedro Obiang. Everton, Sevilla, and AC Milan are believed to be among those interested, as Obiang was able to make himself a permeant fixture in the first-team last season. However, there are also reports of Gold and Sullivan holding talks with the former Sampdoria man over a new contract. While many Hammers fans will be relieved by the talk of a contract extension, the 25-year-old’s future at The London Stadium remains uncertain.

Burke to join Bolton?

While one West Ham United Reece has been loaned out to Borussia Monchengladbach, another may be following as there have been reports of young defender Reece Burke joining Bolton Wanderers on loan. The former Bradford Player of the Year broke into our first-team under Sam Allardyce in spring 2015, but has struggled for first-team football since. A reunion with former Bantams manager Phil Parkinson now looks on the cards, after Burke endured a tough loan spell at relegated Wigan last season, with much of it spent sidelined through injury. However, many Hammers fans are angered by the proposed move as it is generally believed that the 20-year-old should now be breaking through into Slaven Bilic’s first-team. So, how long will it be before the homegrown talent is finally given a full first-team opportunity?

Foxes set to rival us for City star?

According to The Su, Leicester City are set to join the race to sign Manchester City striker Kilechi Iheanacho. After what looked to be an exciting start of a long career with The Citizens for The Nigerian, he now looks set to leave after the January arrival of Gabriel Jesus and the attempted signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Slaven Bilic was reportedly the first to show interest in the youngster and we are currently leading the race for his signature. However, a club record fee of £25 million is rumoured to be being set by Pep Guardiola and many Hammers fans are being left questioning: is it worth breaking another club record fee for the former Columbus Crew man?

Huddersfield show Fletcher interest

It has been rumoured by The Mirror that newly-promoted Huddersfield are plotting a summer move for our young frontman Ashley Fletcher. The 21-year-old has impressed this season a number of times, both starting and from the bench after signing from Manchester United in summer 2016. The Terriers manager David Wagner has reportedly submitted a bid of around £5 million for the former Barnsley man. With Leeds also interested, will we let the young starlet go after under a year in Claret and Blue?
