The international break is coming to an end and West Ham are back in action soon. But while West Ham had a weekend off, the transfer rumours started to grow.
With just over two months until the transfer window opens, stories are starting to emerge. Five players have been linked with West Ham this week and here they are…
Queens Park Rangers left-back Ryan Manning is an option for West Ham and Watford (London Football News). The Irishman was a midfielder until Mark Warburton played him at left-back this season. Last weekend, he provided an assist for Irons loanee Jordan Hugill.
Manning has been superb since making this transition, alerting West Ham and Watford to his contract situation. The 23-year-old is in the final year of his contract and Premier League sides are lining up a bargain move. QPR have an option to extend his deal by another year, though, and they will almost certainly do this.
Woking wonderkid Oliver Creed is attracting attention from a number of teams. West Ham are one of six clubs interested in signing the 16-year-old from the National League side (TEAMtalk).
Creed is yet to make his first-team debut for Woking but he has been in and around the first-team. The teenage central defender is also wanted by Crystal Palace, Southampton, Bournemouth, Millwall and Brentford.
Aissa Mandi is still a target for West Ham (The Express). The Algeria international, who is currently playing for Real Betis, operates anywhere across the back four.
West Ham tried and failed to land Mandi in the past but Manuel Pellegrini remains keen. Pellegrini sees the 27-year-old as a central defender, although he can play on either side of the defence.
West Ham and Manchester United will send scouts to check on teenage striker Zito Luvumbo later this month (Desporto Sapo). The twice-capped Angola international will be representing his country at the U17 World Cup with scouts watching.
Luvumbo is making a splash in Angola and looks set for a move to Europe. The 18-year-old plays on the wing or as a striker and he is tipped for a bright future.
Galatasaray defender Christian Luyindama is another target for West Ham (Fanatik). The DR Congo international would cost the Hammers around £13m to bring to East London.
Luyindama stands at 6ft 3in tall and he is a powerful central defender. The 25-year-old has experience in Turkey and Belgium (with Standard Liege) but he could be moving to England.
