Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly entered the race to sign West Ham target Maxi Gomez, according to reports on Sunday.
According to the print edition of The Sunday Mirror – via Sky Sports News Paper Talk page – Mauricio Pochettino is lining up a summer move for Gomez.
Celta Vigo face a battle to keep their star man next season with West Ham expected to follow up their January interest with a summer move.
But Spurs are ready to fight their London rivals for the 22-year-old striker, who could provide competition for Harry Kane.
West Ham’s top target

When West Ham expected Marko Arnautovic to depart in January, Gomez was lined up as his direct replacement.
And even after the Austrian announced he was staying at The London Stadium, the Hammers were still keen on signing Gomez for next season.
The Guardian reported that Manuel Pellegrini had identified Gomez as his top target and West Ham were ready to trigger his £43.5m release clause.
The Uruguay international had scored nine goals by that stage, although he has not found the net since the January transfer saga.
But West Ham now face a battle for their top target with London neighbours Spurs lining up a summer swoop.
