Tottenham Hotspur are the bookmakers’ favourites to sign Declan Rice.
Ladbrokes have priced Spurs at 2/1 to sign the West Ham starlet, ahead of the other ‘top six’ clubs.
Liverpool (3/1), Manchester United (4/1), Arsenal (9/2) and Manchester City (6/1) are also among the bookies’ favourites for the 19-year-old.
Rice’s former club Chelsea, who released him as a 14-year-old, are in the running at 7/1.
Rice at West Ham
Rice now has 36 first-team games to his name for the Hammers. The Republic of Ireland international, who is also considering playing for England, plays at centre-half or as a holding midfielder.
He has been a vital cog in the Hammers’ resurgence this season, filling in as the deep midfielder in a central trio.
The versatile youngster has won the Young Hammer of the Year award for two consecutive seasons and the club rates him highly.
Ladbrokes have handed out prices for Rice to leave West Ham amid his contract stand-off with the club.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Rice has been a standout player in a campaign where West Ham are yet to get going, so it’s no surprise to see a handful of top clubs interested in the youngster.”
West Ham and Tottenham consider each other rivals so it would be a bitter blow for the Irons to lose one of their prize assets to their North London counterparts.
But it would be a blow to lose him to anyone. West Ham must prioritise a new deal for the teenager, and one which reflects his ability as well.
