West Ham centre-back Issa Diop is one of two priority signings Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho wants to make this summer, according to French media outlet Foot Mercato, and some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to vent their anger in reaction to the links.

Tottenham will undoubtedly be on the look-out for a new centre-back this summer. Jan Vertonghen faces an uncertain future in north London. And Spurs boss Mourinho will be keen to find a long-term replacement for the Belgian stalwart.
Whether Diop is the man for Tottenham, however, is debatable.
The 23-year-old Frenchman joined the Hammers from Toulouse in the summer of 2018 for around £22.5 million (Mirror).
The Frenchman clearly has a lot of potential. But he has been incredibly inconsistent at times.
West Ham after massive fee for centre-back
Football Insider claims that the Hammers will demand at least £52 million for Diop, however.
It is highly doubtful that Tottenham will be able to pay anywhere near that amount though, given the ongoing global health crisis.
The 23-year-old could very well go on to become one of the best centre-backs in world football.
But £52 million might just be a step too far for Spurs.
