West Ham United have been heavily linked with a January move for Olivier Giroud but Tottenham Hotspur could put a spanner in the works.
Chelsea will sell Giroud if a club matches his £5m asking price, according to The Express.
West Ham have recently been linked with a move for Giroud. The experienced forward has become a peripheral figure at Chelsea under Frank Lampard.
According to Claret & Hugh, West Ham will explore the possibility of signing Giroud in January.

How Spurs could scupper West Ham move for Giroud
But Saturday’s opponents Tottenham could ruin any chance of West Ham landing the French forward.
According to The Telegraph, new Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is trying to hijack AC Milan’s move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
And that explains AC Milan’s keen interest in bringing West Ham target Giroud to the San Siro says Football Italia.
The 38-year-old becomes a free agent when his contract with LA Galaxy expires next month.
Both Inter and AC Milan have been linked with bringing the striker back to Italy.
But it has also emerged that the Rossoneri have enquired about Giroud.

Jose reunion with Zlatan would prompt change of plan for Milan
The Swede is known for his strong rapport with Mourinho, having worked with him at Inter and Manchester United.
And Football Italia says Milan’s switch of focus from Ibrahimovic to Giroud is no coincidence.
That could be bad news for the Hammers. Manuel Pellegrini may not survive the weekend if West Ham suffer a defeat to Tottenham.

Pellegrini desperate for January additions… if he makes it that far
It has been seven games and two long months since the East Londoners last won a game.
West Ham are desperately short in several key areas, particularly up front.
It is no secret the club has been keen to take advantage of Giroud’s lack of game time under Frank Lampard at Chelsea.
But the spectre of joining an elite club like Milan in the twilight of his career might sway the decision making process for the striker come January.
