Two top insiders have delivered exciting updates on West Ham’s move for Manchester City star Jack Grealish but there is a problem with one key man.
A leading transfer correspondent has exclusively told Hammers News West Ham’s move for Man City’s £100m man Jack Grealish is very much the real deal.
Another prominent West Ham insider has confirmed Graham Potter is pushing hard behind the scenes.
But one major hurdle could yet stand in the way of a sensational deal at West Ham’s end according to another top source.
Back in May Hammers News reported that West Ham could explore a loan deal to sign Grealish from fellow Premier League side Man City.
Top insiders deliver exciting news on West Ham’s Grealish move
Last month former a popular former Hammers star who has roles in the Academy and ambassadorial setups, Carlton Cole, told Grealish he should leave Manchester City for West Ham.
It comes with speculation rife Grealish will depart the Etihad this summer having fallen out of favour with Pep Guardiola.
West Ham, Everton and Newcastle have all been linked with the popular England playmaker.
Talk of a move to east London ramped up in the last 24 hours, though.
Now top insiders have delivered exciting news on West Ham’s move for Man City star Grealish but a key man is unsure.

talkSPORT has claimed emergence of the Hammers in the race for Grealish comes after Tottenham cooled interest in the 29-year-old winger.
Ironically that came after Spurs sealed a controversial £54.5m deal to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham.
In turn that has given the Hammers funds to be able to start making signings of their own, starting with El Hadji Malick Diouf.
Another full-back, Kyle Walker-Peters is set to follow closely behind as a new Hammers arrival on a free transfer.
Now it seems West Ham are turning to Man City for a big name signing to replace Kudus.
Potter and Grealish like the idea of West Ham move
In an exciting update, ExWHUemployee says he has been told Potter likes Grealish and the feeling is mutual with the former Villa man keen on a loan move to West Ham.
“It has been reported in the press that Jack Grealish could be on our radar,” ExWHUemployee said.
“I am under the impression that Potter likes the player and he would be keen on a loan move to us.”
The Hammers insider made it clear any deal would require a big compromise on wages as Grealish is said to be on around £300k per week.
Another top transfer insider, football correspondent Graeme Bailey, has also delivered an exclusive update on Grealish and confirmed West Ham’s talks with Man City.
Bailey broke the news of West Ham’s enquiry earlier this week.

Hammers move genuine as Grealish accepts Man City exit
Now the former Sky Sports man has told Hammers News the move is genuine and someone from West Ham is in contact with Man City about striking a potential deal.
And he says the big difference now is that Grealish is open to leaving the Etihad.
“Jack Grealish is available, that has been known for a while, but what is changing is the player’s stance – he is very happy at Man City, but he is realising that he needs to leave, he is accepting that now,” Bailey told Hammers News.
“Now there is actually a number of clubs wanting him – there is no doubting his ability.
“And what does appeal is the likely deal on offer, City are going to have to cover a huge part of his wages – not dissimilar to what we saw with Kalvin Phillips joining the Hammers etc.
“West Ham are one of those that him a lot and they are looking into it.”
The updates will have many Hammers fans giddy with excitement.
But it wouldn’t be a West Ham transfer pursuit without a fly in the ointment.
Sullivan not so sure on West Ham move for spent force Grealish
And that has been provided by another top West Ham insider who has revealed his top source – believed to be key man David Sullivan himself – is not sure on the move for Grealish.
Sean Whetstone is a close ally of majority owner Sullivan, who is in ultimate control of West Ham’s transfers again having reprised his de facto director of football role following the sacking of Tim Steidten.
Whetstone says his senior club source has ‘poured cold water on the chances of signing Grealish on loan this summer’.
“Earlier reports suggested Graham Potter would be interested in a loan deal for the Manchester City player and that the midfielder could be interested too in a stint at the London Stadium after limited number of opportunities last season in the Premier League,” Whetstone said in his Claret and Hugh exclusive.
Whetstone then states the senior West Ham source told him: “I doubt it, he is not the player he was two to three years ago.”
So it seems Sullivan is not so keen on Grealish even if the player and manager are.
Grealish’s future looks almost certain to be away from Man City.
But whether he lands at West Ham remains to be seen.
