Tomas Soucek has sent a clear signal about his Everton transfer stance after his latest West Ham goal and now a David Moyes confidant has a fresh update.
It has been a terrible season for West Ham since they parted company with David Moyes.
Made worse by the wonderful job the Scot has done since returning to the game with Everton.
Moyes went back to the Toffees a day after Graham Potter – who was Everton’s number one target – was appointed West Ham boss in January.
Potter preparing to move on from Moyes target Soucek
It is fair to say the two men have had wildly contrasting fortunes thus far.
While Moyes has led a remarkable turnaround with a very limited squad at Everton, Potter has taken West Ham backwards from 13th to 17th in the Premier League table.
The Englishman has just three wins from his 15 games so far and is feeling the heat after a spectacular collapse which saw the Hammers come back from 1-0 down to lead 2-1 at Brighton with six minutes to go – only to end up losing 3-2.
Tomas Soucek looked like he had won the game for West Ham.
Even that would have left Potter facing questions.

Because Soucek has been frozen out of West Ham’s starting XI of late for the first time since being brought to the club by Moyes back in January 2020.
The towering Czech is a big fan favourite at West Ham.
But he is also a huge favourite of Moyes – who has regularly stated that Soucek is one of his best ever signings.
Everton have been linked with a move for Soucek ever since Moyes went back to Goodison.
Potter has faced questions from many Hammers fans for dropping Soucek of late.
Because after Jarrod Bowen, no player has been more influential for West Ham than the four-time Czech player of the year in the last five years.
Soucek’s regular goals, attitude, workrate and selfless performances have seen him become a household name in England.
Soucek’s big hint on Everton move after latest West Ham goal
West Ham have only won one of the eight games Soucek hasn’t started this season.
And he showed his importance once again by getting what should have been the winner for the Hammers at Brighton. Soucek could have had a hat-trick in the game, hitting the bar and going close with several other efforts.
A leading West Ham board confidant confirmed Potter has told Soucek he will be sold this summer with Everton ready to pounce.
Many feel it is a risky call which could cost Potter his job if Soucek does well when reunited with Moyes and West Ham struggle.
A journalist revealed ahead of the weekend’s games that Potter has decided to sell Soucek given concerns over his energy levels.

Moyes insider spills all on plan to sign Soucek
But it was also claimed the Hammers will only get around £15m from Everton for any deal.
Potter has reportedly made the call despite Soucek telling West Ham he wants to stay for the rest of his career.
However, the midfielder has privately stated he will have to leave if the situation doesn’t change.
Now Soucek has dropped a big hint on an Everton move after his latest West Ham goal as a Moyes insider spills all.
Scottish journalist Alan Nixon counts Moyes as one of his longest standing contacts in the game.
In a fresh update, Nixon claims Moyes is pushing Everton’s money men to get Soucek signed as soon as possible once the season ends – with the transfer window opening on June 1st this year.
Reporting on his Patreon, Nixon says Moyes has told Everton’s owners that Soucek will prove a bargain.
Soucek celebration showed he wants to stay at West Ham
Back at West Ham, Soucek went about proving Potter wrong for dropping him of late – and the reported decision to sell him on this summer.
After scoring what looked like it would be the winner, Soucek exploded with emotion.
The much-loved midfielder did his usual spinning helicopter celebration.
But then he made his feelings perfectly clear to fans about where he wants to be.
Soucek picked up a ball and punched it into the sea of celebrating West Ham supporters.
He then beat his chest on the Hammers badge before doing the crossed Hammers with his arms.
After the game Soucek then made a point of going over to the angry and gobsmacked away following to give his shirt to a young fan.
The 30-year-old made it as clear as day that he wants to stay at West Ham.
Not just with his celebration but his performance too.
Whether it can change Potter’s mind remains to be seen.
