Both Callum Wilson and Lucas Paqueta have been in the headlines at West Ham United of late – though for very different reasons.
Wilson, of course, was the talk of the town after he netted a late West Ham winner against Tottenham on Saturday amid ongoing speculation about his future.
Paqueta, meanwhile, missed that game with a back injury. Still, the fact that came after Paqueta made it clear he wants to leave West Ham is difficult to ignore.

Though things could indeed change, it’s currently difficult to see the Brazilian pulling on the famous Hammers shirt again.
The situation is very different with the aforementioned striker, however. Indeed, West Ham have decided to keep Wilson.
All the speculation prompted Hammers News to ask their subscribers to choose between the two.
West Ham fans would rather keep Callum Wilson than Lucas Paqueta
Following the win over Tottenham, Hammers News posed a rather simple question.
We asked our readers and subscribers which of the two players they’d rather keep.
The response was unanimous and in favour of Wilson.
One fan wrote: “Got to be Callum Wilson! Every day! It just needs Nuno to see at last what he brings to the side, not bringing him on for the last minute!”
Another added: “Wilson definitely never thought I’d say that as he always scored against us. We have to keep him he’s got that poacher instinct we need.
If you could only keep ONE of these two players in January – who would it be?!
“Wilson,” added one fan. “No contest.”
“Need to keep Wilson as this man is always likely to nick a goal. I like this system that Nuno played on Saturday. I could not believe our speed of breaks I think Paq would just slow these breaks down,” said another.
“100% Wilson, we need to show him some love,” was another response. “He’s decent.”
“Keep Wilson,” was another comment.
It’s telling that the Paqueta situation has got so bad that fans would rather pin their hopes on a 33-year-old forward who appeared to have one foot out the exit door until recently.
Given the level of impact both players have made this season, it’s difficult to disagree too.

What West Ham need right now is reliability.
The fact that Wilson – who has missed so many games through injury over the course of his career – is more reliable than Paqueta says something.
There’s little doubt the Brazil international is a fine player on his day. That, however, just isn’t enough in a scrap.
By beating Tottenham, West Ham proved they can win without Paqueta.
As such, it is surely now time to part ways.
