Speculation that West Ham United will move to sign Liverpool star Dejan Lovren has intensified.
West Ham were linked with a move for Lovren last week in an exclusive report from TeamTalk.
The report claimed Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will allow the 30-year-old to leave in the next window ‘due to his outstanding service’.
TeamTalk claimed clubs from Italy and Spain are interested in Lovren but he fancies a move to London and West Ham are keen.
West Ham Lovren talk intensifies as price is mooted
Now according to The Express, West Ham’s interest in the Croatian has intensified after a price of £18million was mooted amid interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal, Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
“Reports from Italy have claimed that Liverpool want £18m for Lovren, with Lazio, Lyon and AC Milan among the foreign teams keen on the Croatian,” The Express claims.
West Ham boss David Moyes has some work to do in the next window, providing West Ham stay up.
Bolstering West Ham’s central defensive options is a priority alongside signing a new striker.
Winston Reid looks set to be sold after being shipped out on loan to MLS. Moyes does not fancy Fabian Balbuena.

And Angelo Ogbonna – on course for Hammer of the Year – is set to turn 32 next month.
Speaking on his future recently, Lovren hinted he will leave Anfield this summer.
The Hammers target told Sky Sports that while he is patient and appreciates the quality of competition at Liverpool, he is frustrated at not playing.
“You are fighting with yourself in your mind, asking ‘Why not?’,” told Sky Sports about his situation at Liverpool.
“But you are accepting it, you are moving on and from my personal point of view I want to be better every day in the training sessions…
“But you never know what can happen in the summer. At the moment I am just focused on the point where I can say I made it (as part of a great Liverpool team by lifting the title).”
Hat-trick of top class Croat centre-backs for West Ham?
West Ham have good experiences of Croatian centrebacks. Slaven Bilic and Igor Stimac both served the club with distinction.
Lovren has something of a reputation for making erratic mistakes. But much of that comes from being rarely used and a lack of momentum.
If he was to sign for West Ham he would likely get more regular game time. And he could become a real fan favourite.
Lovren is strong, reasonably quick, experienced and passionate. He has all the ingredients to be a hit with the Hammers faithful should Moyes sign him.
