West Ham’s transfer window has suddenly exploded back into life with fresh reports claiming that three deals are now in the works.
After a stagnant start to the summer transfer window for West Ham, the Mohammed Kudus sale freed Graham Potter up to complete two deals.
El Hadji Malick Diouf arrived in east London from Slavia Prague in a deal worth an initial £19m.
West Ham followed that up by signing Diouf’s fellow full-back, Kyle Walker-Peters on a free transfer.
It came amid a plethora of links to further targets from Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton to James McAtee, Albian Hajdari, Matheus Fernandes and Mads Hermansen – to name but a few.
Stunning scenes as West Ham’s transfer window reignites
Despite needing to make up for lost time after a barren first seven weeks of an extended summer window, West Ham’s transfer activity went back into a bit of a lull.
The mood around the club, which had been lifted as a result of the two signings and some exciting links to further arrivals, nosedived again when it was revealed Potter doesn’t feel West Ham need to sign a new striker.
There was further anger when Hammers News exclusively revealed West Ham expect to sign ageing, injury-prone striker Callum Wilson.
Many West Ham supporters are particularly excited by the prospect of signing Elliott from Liverpool.

The 22-year-old was named player of the tournament as he led England Under 21s to Euro Championship glory.
But there have been conflicting reports over whether the deal will be possible given Liverpool’s demands.
A new goalkeeper is a must after experienced veteran Lukasz Fabianski was released by Potter last month.
And the vast majority of West Ham’s fans do not agree with Potter’s alleged stance that he does not need a new forward.
All West Ham eyes have been on the Lucas Paqueta case after it emerged a verdict is imminent.
And cryptic posts from the Brazilian star’s agency have suggested big news is coming.
It has long been claimed Paqueta will be sold if cleared of spot-fixing.
Three West Ham deals reportedly in the works
It is worth remembering he was days away from being sold to Man City by West Ham when the allegations first emerged.
Whatever happens on that front, it seems the Hammers are preparing to spend some money.
Because in stunning scenes West Ham’s transfer window has reignited with three deals reportedly in the works.
The Daily Mail claims Leicester are now braced for West Ham to make their official move to sign Hermansen.
Hammers News revealed last month that Danish goalkeeper Hermansen is West Ham’s prime goalkeeper target.
The report also revealed the Hammers were about to appoint Casper Ankergren as their new lead goalkeeper coach – and that he was pushing for a reunion with his former Brondby protege.

Now it seems the Hammers are ready to make an official bid. And it is claimed Leicester have long since been prepared to accept it having allowed Hermansen to have non-urgent surgery for an injury a month before the end of last season to ensure he could be sold.
While the second big claim of the evening may not excite Hammers fans, talkSPORT have now reported Callum Wilson has agreed terms on a deal with West Ham.
On Wednesday, Hammers News exclusively revealed there was one hurdle left to clear for Wilson to join West Ham.
That being the length of contract with Wilson and agent Will Salthouse pushing for a two-year deal.
Hammers News revealed talks centred around whether there would be milestones added – such as a set number of appearances or starts – in order to trigger a second year.
It remains to be seen what length the deal is.
But talkSPORT believe Wilson joining West Ham has now been agreed despite late Saudi interest.
‘Hammers could announce two on same day’ for cunning reason
Saving the best until last, word from longstanding West Ham site KUMB is that Elliott has agreed personal terms with West Ham in principle ahead of a potential move.
It is also claimed by a KUMB insider that Liverpool have accelerated negotiations and are close to an agreement.
It is even claimed that the Hammers want to announce Wilson and Elliott on the same day to take the edge of an expected backlash to the striker signing.
“Elliott has been particularly impressed with Graham Potter following lengthy discussions with the Hammers Head Coach and is keen to make the move south having come to the conclusion his opportunities at Anfield are now extremely limited,” the KUMB source states.
“Terms of the deal are yet to be revealed although West Ham are hoping to reach agreement with Liverpool over the weekend, or possibly sooner. The Reds are happy to allow the player to leave having spent north of £300million this summer.”
The reason for the sudden acceleration on the Elliott deal could be to help Liverpool offset a new record signing of Aleksander Isak from Newcastle.
