West Ham reportedly want to bring Xherdan Shaqiri to East London. According to The Daily Post, the Hammers are willing to match Liverpool’s £22.5m asking price for the midfielder.
Shaqiri only joined Liverpool last summer from Stoke City. He has had a mixed season but has mainly been used as an impact substitute by Jurgen Klopp.
The Switzerland international has played 30 games this season, scoring six goals and providing five assists. The left-footed winger is not in Klopp’s immediate plans, though.
Xherdan Shaqiri set for summer exit?

Shaqiri could be set for a summer departure. And it seems like West Ham will be eager to take him on board. The Irons are preparing for a busy summer and Shaqiri could kickstart their spending.
West Ham would have to cough up £22.5m for the diminutive attacking midfielder, which is significantly more than Liverpool paid last summer.
But it seems West Ham are ready to take a punt on Shaqiri. Manuel Pellegrini wants to kick on after a top-half finish and Shaqiri could be one of many names linked.
After these rumours circulated on Twitter, West Ham fans flocked to social media to voice their opinions. Here are several tweets from Hammers supporters discussing the Shaqiri links.
