With the arrival of Bafétimbi Gomis to Swansea City now announced, West Ham could be in for a shock £6 million move for Spaniard Michu. The move could finally happen any day now.

Michu started the 2012/2013 campaign in fine form by scoring against Queen Park Rangers, West Ham and Sunderland in consecutive matches. Overall, he scored an amazing 19 goals in all competitions in his first season in England. In the 2013/2014 campaign, he had an injury-packed season which ruled him out for most Premier League matches, so he never picked up the pace of the football when he came back into the starting XI after being out for short or long periods.

According to various sources, new attacking coach Teddy Sheringham has stated that he’d love to work with Michu and that it would be a good buy for such a cheap price. £6 million is a steal when you think that Michu has featured for Spain and has scored and assisted wherever he has played.

Last season, we only had Maiga and Carlton Cole as our two main strikers for a large period of the season and that was what our main downfall was as our defensive performances were quite phenomenal. New signing Mauro Zarate and hopefully future-Hammer Michu will bag goals and help us achieve that Top 10 finish that we so dearly want.

Do you want West Ham to sign Michu for £6 million or do you believe that we should be looking somewhere else?
