Some West Ham fans call for owners to replace David Moyes with Niko Kovac before it is too late

Some West Ham United fans want the club’s owners to take action over David Moyes before it is too late.

Moyes inherited a team in a downward spiral when he took over from Manuel Pellegrini in December.

A 4-0 win on his controversial return to West Ham seemed to vindicate David Sullivan and David Gold’s unpopular decision.

The problem is West Ham have failed to win a single league game since with just two draws from their next six matches.

As a result the Hammers have dropped into the relegation zone ahead of daunting trips to Manchester City and Liverpool either side of the inaugural winter break.

Moyes under pressure after solitary win in seven league games

Moyes has been widely criticised by West Ham fans for a series of poor selection choices and substitutions.

Fans have also questioned the Scot’s decision not to bring in more backroom staff with only Alan Irvine on board.

West Ham’s dreadful form has seen many suggest the club would have been better off sticking with Manuel Pellegrini.

And some supporters feel the Hammers simply have to bite the bullet and make another change before it is too late to save the East Londoners from the drop.

And the man many of them want is reported former managerial target (Claret & Hugh) Niko Kovac.

The Croatian is still out of work after being sacked by Bayern Munich earlier this season.

Could Kovac ‘do a Frankfurt’ for West Ham?

One West Ham fan pointed out the fact Kovac saved Eintracht Frankfurt from relegation with just 11 games in 2016.

Kovac then went on to build one of the most exciting attacking sides in Europe over the ensuing 18 months – with a certain Hammers record signing Sebastien Haller central to his success.

Here are a selection of comments from Twitter about West Ham replacing Moyes with Kovac.
