Sky Sports have made a new claim about West Ham United’s pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller.
The likes of The Evening Standard reported this week that West Ham’s hopes of signing Maxi Gomez were dead.
Manuel Pellegrini has just one senior striker after letting Andy Carroll, Lucas Perez and Marko Arnautovic leave.

Hammers holler for Haller
Attentions then turned to Frankfurt forward Haller.
That’s after Italian journalist Nicolo Schira claimed on Twitter that West Ham had agreed a £35million deal for the 25-year-old Frenchman.
Schira even went as far as to claim the striker would sign a five-year deal until 2024 at the London Stadium.
But the story has been quickly refuted by reputable German media outlet Bild.

Insider reassures sceptical West Ham fans
That cut little ice with West Ham fans, though.
Supporters were quick to point out that Solhekol had called the Gomez chase wrong when making a similar claim last week.
However this time around reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee claims Solhekol is right.
“No it is true this time,” ExWHUemployee said when asked by a fan if Solhekol’s claim was accurate.
The Twitter and radio personality then went on to make clear that no agreement had yet been reached.
But it is a positive update for West Ham fans who were deflated to miss out on Gomez.
