Two Sky Sports journalists have delivered a big West Ham transfer update on five targets as the club’s activity kicks back into gear.
With the Euros and Copa America out of the way West Ham are now pushing to continue their summer transfer business apace.
The Hammers kicked off what fans hope will be a new era under a new boss as Julen Lopetegui oversaw a 2-2 draw with Hungarian side Ferencvaros on Monday.
West Ham fans were impressed by the clear intent of Lopetegui to implement a high energy, high pressing style.

In fact proof of the demands he is going to make in that regard was there for all to hear with what Lopetegui was heard shouting at West Ham’s players on the touchline during the pre-season clash.
What that game showed, though, is that the Hammers still need to make a host of signings.
The good news is technical director Tim Steidten and the board plan to do just that.
Five of them in fact.
Steidten and Lopetegui have brought in three players already and want to make it eight all told before the window closes.
There are four weeks to go until the Hammers kick off the new Premier League season against Aston Villa.
And it’s around six weeks until the window closes until next January.
So the pressure is on to make a signing a week in that time if Lopetegui is to get the squad he desires.
The club’s transfer activity is already ramping up.
Now two Sky Sports journalists have delivered a big West Ham transfer update on five targets.

Big West Ham transfer update on five targets
After the £40m signing of Max Kilman, West Ham told Hammers News that the club’s big focus was now on signing a striker.
It was also revealed that while Jhon Duran is ‘one of many West Ham are in for’ the Hammers will not meet Villa’s £35m asking price.
That news has now been confirmed by Dharmesh Sheth and Alan Myers as they share the latest news he’s heard regarding five stars in West Ham’s sights.
At a press conference unveiling Lopetegui earlier this month, Steidten confirmed West Ham will be looking to the English market for signings.
Especially with the club requiring players who meet the Premier League rules on homegrown status.
And that certainly seems to be the way West Ham are going after signing Kilman and Wes Foderingham, now attentions have turned to five other Prem stars – four of them English.
Five Premier League stars in West Ham’s sights
“Talks ongoing between West Ham and Southampton over the signing of defender Kyle Walker-Peters,” Sheth and Myers have reported on Sky Sports.
“West Ham are in the market for a right-back and Walker-Peters is one of a number they are looking at.
“Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka another player West Ham have done due diligence on.
“West Ham also looking to strengthen in the forward areas.
“There has been interest in Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran and they have explored conditions of a potential deal.
“As yet, there has been no formal offer – and one source has told us interest has cooled slightly with a focus on other targets.
“Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one of a number of strikers West Ham have looked at.
“And interest remains in Arsenal forward Reiss Nelson. The player wants to assess all his options with regular first team football his primary motivation.”
