Sky Sports has delivered an update on West Ham United’s interest in Bournemouth striker Josh King as Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion enter the race.

What Mark Noble and Declan Rice said about striker backs up insider’s claim

King has been linked with West Ham again in the January window after David Moyes failed with a bid for the forward in the summer.

But now West Brom and Newcastle are in the mix too.

King still on Moyes radar after failed summer move

West Ham, Newcastle and West Brom are all keen to sign a new striker in this window according to reports.

West Ham are pushing for Europe while West Brom are desperate to avoid relegation. And Newcastle are fast becoming over-reliant on Callum Wilson.

The likes of West Ham insiders Claret & Hugh claim King is Moyes’s prime target.

Last week talkSPORT reported that King – whose contract is up in the summer – is ‘desperate’ to join West Ham this month.

Speaking last weekend, Cherries boss Tindall spoke to The Bournemouth Echo about West Ham’s interest.

Sky Sports update claims Cherries have received no bids for striker

He said King had not told him he is desperate to join West Ham. But he appeared to suggest all the striker has to do is ask.

Now Sky Sports have delivered an update on West Ham’s interest in King on the Transfer Show. It comes after new reports emerged saying West Brom and Newcastle have now entered the race to sign King this month.

“Bournemouth have not received any offers for West Ham target Josh King,” Kaveh Solhekol said on Sky Sports’s Transfer Show.

“Of course West Ham tried to sign him in the summer.”

Chronicle Live claims King is a ‘realistic target’ for Newcastle in the window. The Norwegian striker could reunite with Wilson and Ryan Fraser at St James’s Park.

Hammers pursuit under threat from West Brom and Newcastle – reports

With Karlan Grant out with a broken foot, The Daily Mail claims West Brom have turned their attention to King with a view to a ‘cut-price deal’.

It is no surprise other clubs have been alerted to King’s availability.

The man in control of King’s destiny, Tindall, gave West Ham, Newcastle and West Brom encouragement he will be allowed to leave if it is right for the Cherries.

“His main priority is what he does for this football club until anyone else tells him otherwise,” Tindall told The Bournemouth Echo.

“That’s the way it will be. It’s the only way I’ll allow it to be and if he, or anyone else on his behalf tells me he doesn’t want to be at the football club, I will act in the way that’s in the best interest of the football club…

“What happens away from that, whether he is here or someone comes in for him or not, we can’t control, so there’s no point in even really discussing it.”
