Andy Carroll joined West Ham on loan from Liverpool earlier on in the year on a 80k a week deal and we have the option to buy him at the end of the season for 17 million pounds. But is he really worth that sort of money?
This season Andy Carroll has been struggling with injury and struggling to score goals with just 3 goals in 14 appearances for the hammers, we all know that big Andy is not known for his goal scoring but for a striker he simply just doesn’t score enough. This season he has created some cracking goals which is a plus side to Andy. But me myself as a west ham I would like to see a striker with a bit of pace that scores 15-20 goals a season.
Andy Carroll only ever seems to preform when Kevin Nolan is having a good game which this season hasn’t been that often, and that doesn’t help if he decides to stay because Nolan hasn’t got many seasons left in him at the highest level. The 2 reasons Carroll has joined was because of big same and Nolan.
The question is will he stay at West Ham?
The simple answer is no, he wants to go back to his homeland Newcastle. He has no reason to stay at West Ham all his passion is with Newcastle he’s from there and it’s the club he supported as a child. Even if Andy want to stay I don’t think the chairman are willing to spend 17 million on a player that has been less than average this year.
