According to a report from Claret and Hugh, West Ham would sell Albian Ajeti in a heartbeat in January if the opportunity arises.
The 22-year-old hitman joined the Hammers from FC Basel in the summer for around £8 million, according to BBC Sport.
Ajeti, who earns around £50,000 per week according to Sky Sports, has been nothing short of a total flop, however.
The 10-capped Switzerland international has failed to score a single goal or register an assist in seven appearances for West Ham thus far.
He is clearly not cut out for the Premier League, and bringing him to the London Stadium now just looks purely like a panic buy from Manuel Pellegrini.
Ajeti has already represented two clubs competitively this season, however, so if he was to move away from the Hammers, he would have to join a club where their season is just beginning, i.e Sweden, USA or Japan, according to Sky Sports.
Because of the Swiss striker’s struggles with West Ham, it is unlikely that the east London club would be able to recoup anything like the £8 million they paid for him four months ago.
In truth though, even if the Hammers got a couple of million for Ajeti, it might just be in their best interest to cut their losses on the 22-year-old.
