The centre-back will allegedly be available for just £13.5 million this month (Sport 1).

The 20-year-old Turkey international is highly rated in the game and he was a target for Liverpool last month according to TEAMtalk.

Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of the young centre-back, according to Bild, and the German allegedly views him as his number one January transfer target.

Hammers boss David Moyes undoubtedly needs to bolster his ranks at the London Stadium this month.

It could be argued that another centre-back is well down on his list of priorities, however.

West Ham are desperate for a new striker, central midfielder and a left-back / left wing-back.

West Ham ready to swoop in for Ozan Kabak?

Nevertheless, Sport 1 claims that the Hammers are ready to battle AC Milan for Schalke ace Ozan Kabak this month.

Despite Schalke’s struggles in the Bundesliga this season, the 20-year-old centre-back has really impressed.

In nine league appearances this term, the Turkey international has averaged one tackle, 0.9 interceptions and 3.6 clearances per game. The 20-year-old has also won an average of 4.3 aerial duals per game. He has made 48.6 passes on average per match and has recorded an impressive completion rate of 87.6% (Who Scored).

£13.5 million for Kabak seems like superb business for West Ham.

Whether the Hammers manage to beat Liverpool and AC Milan to his signature, however, remains to be seen.
