According to a report from Caught Offside, West Ham are interested in signing Dynamo Kiev ace Mykola Shaparenko this summer.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder, already capped four times by the Ukraine, made his breakthrough last season, racking up seven goals and three assists in 33 appearances in all competitions for Kiev.

And it seems as though Shaparenko will go on to become a real star within the game.

He is technically gifted, and has the ability to produce some magic whenever he is in possession.

The Hammers are already well-stocked in the attacking midfield department. Manuel Pellegrini has Manu Lanzini, Pablo Fornals and Felipe Anderson who can all play in the number 10 role.

So the youngster would be a signing made with one eye on the future for West Ham.

The east London outfit will not have things all their own way in the race for the Ukrainian, however.

Caught Offside claims that Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are also keen on signing Shaparenko.

It is unclear as to how much the 20-year-old will cost.

If West Ham can beat the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea to his signature, however, it will obviously be a real coup for the east London outfit.
