According to a report from Football Insider, West Ham are trying to flog Carlos Sanchez in January for £1 million.

The Hammers signed the 33-year-old from Fiorentina in the summer of 2018, for a fee believed to be worth £4 million, according to the Sun.

Sanchez has been a total flop at the London Stadium, however. He hasn’t made any kind of impact whatsoever, making just 15 appearances for the east London outfit.

He really has been a disappointment at West Ham. So much so that there surely will not be any clubs willing to pay any money for the South American.

Football Insider claims that the Hammers want to sell Sanchez in January, and will accept offers in the region of £1 million.

But they must be having a laugh. The east London club would be better off terminating the former Fiorentina man’s contract and just getting rid of him.

Sanchez earns £50,000 per week according to Spotrac. And freeing up that kind of money would enable West Ham to bring in better quality players in January.

If the Hammers do manage to get £1 million for the 88-capped Colombia international, however, it would have to be considered as a minor miracle.
