Hammers boss David Moyes chose not to sign a striker in January after selling Sebastien Haller to Ajax.
The Scot must rectify that in the summer, however, as it was clearly the wrong decision.
Heading into the second half of the season with Michail Antonio, and his notoriously unreliable hamstrings, as our only recognised striker was truly a kamikaze move.

Hopefully we somehow still manage to finish inside the top six.
And if we do, the hard work will really start in the summer.
West Ham plotting Andrea Belotti swoop?
It will be vital for West Ham to sign TWO strikers.
Corriere Granata claims Torino hitman Andrea Belotti could be an option for the Hammers. We could face competition from London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham, however.
The 27-year-old Italian would be a fine addition for West Ham.

Belotti could be available for just €35 million (£30 million) this summer according to Football Italia. That’s £25 million less than West Ham offered for his services two years ago (Calcio Mercato)!
The Italian has a very good record of 148 goals in 357 career games (Transfermarkt).
The Torino ace is an out and out centre-forward and is exactly the kind of player Moyes should be targeting.
£30 million for a player with Belotti’s quality would be fantastic business for the Hammers.
This is one that the owners need to back Moyes to the hilt with. Make it happen boys!
