According to an exclusive report from the Mirror, West Ham are interested in signing Ryan Fraser from Bournemouth this month.
The Hammers are in desperate need of some new signings. They are bang in trouble, and currently sit in 17th spot in the table, level on points with 19th placed Watford.
A season that started so well has turned into a real disaster campaign.
It could be argued that West Ham actually need to strengthen in every area of the pitch. But that won’t be possible of course. So David Moyes will have to prioritise which kind of players he needs the most.
And the Mirror claims that Bournemouth ace Fraser could be an option for the Hammers.
Good signing
It would be fair to say that West Ham should be prioritising the signings of a right-back, a striker and a central midfielder this month.
The addition of a pacy winger wouldn’t go a miss either, however.
And Fraser could be just the man for the job.
The 25-year-old is out of contract with the Cherries in the summer, so he could be available for a bargain fee this month.
The 11-capped Scotland international is a hard-working, industrious winger. He possesses decent pace, and always tries to beat his man down the outside.
Fraser would surely help bring out the best in the misfiring Sebastien Haller, what with his excellent deliveries into the box.
Whether Bournemouth will be willing to sell the Scot to a relegation rival this month remains to be seen, but they might be forced into doing just that, considering the fact that they could lose him for nothing in the summer.
