West Ham have rekindled their interest in top striker target Maxi Gomez. According to various reports, including The Guardian, West Ham now want to launch a double bid for Gomez and one of his team-mates.
Celta Vigo duo Gomez and Stanislav Lobotka are West Ham targets. And the Hammers could launch a €60m (£50m-plus) double bid for these two players.
West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini wants Gomez to solve his striker problem and Lobotka to fix the midfield department. This will be a costly operation but negotiations are reportedly underway to seal this double transfer.
Maxi Gomez saga continues

Gomez was West Ham’s top transfer target in January. When it looked like Marko Arnautovic was heading to China, West Ham turned their attention to the Uruguay international (The Express).
But this move failed to materialise. And recently, talk has gone quiet on this front. West Ham fans believed that this deal was dead with other striker targets lined up.
However, it seems there has been a new twist in this saga. West Ham are now back in the race, according to recent reports. The 22-year-old has scored 30 goals in two seasons for Celta Vigo and has a £43.5m release clause.
But West Ham will try to get him cheaper. As part of a £53.5m double deal, West Ham want Gomez and his Celta Vigo team-mate Lobotka.
Who is Stanislav Lobotka?

Lobotka could be the central midfielder that Pellegrini has been looking for. With Carlos Sanchez and Pedro Obiang potentially following Edimilson Fernandes out of the exit door, Lobotka could be brought in.
The Slovakia international has been with Celta Vigo since 2017, having previously played in Slovakia, Holland and Denmark prior to this.
In these two seasons, the 24-year-old has played 73 games, predominantly operating as a defensive midfielder. West Ham believe he is worth £30m and will try to sign him alongside Gomez.
