West Ham are one of three clubs reportedly interested in Steaua Bucharest winger Florinel Coman.
According to The Daily Mail, Manchester City, Roma and West Ham want Coman. Man City have been scouting the young winger in action but face competition from Roma and West Ham.
Both Roma and the Hammers have been monitoring Coman’s progress and could launch a swoop. The 21-year-old has caught the eye with his performances this season and could be set for a big move.
Who is Florinel Coman?
Coman is a lively winger who will be well-known to the England U21 team. In the summer, the Romania international was part of his country’s U21 side. They stunned England in the U21 European Championships. He scored twice in this game and won a penalty, despite only being on the pitch for less than half an hour.
This season, Coman has been in excellent form. He has scored eight goals in 19 games already, including two in the Europa League. Coman also has five assists to his name this season.
West Ham could do with a new winger. The Irons have been exposed for a lack of pace on the bench, especially with Michail Antonio out injured. Coman could be a wildcard signing that solves that problem. But the Hammers have to fend Pep Guardiola off first.
