West Ham United want to sign Fenerbahce defender Attila Szalai this summer according to a report from Turkish publication A Spor.

Hammers boss David Moyes may well be on the look-out for a new centre-back before the start of the new season.
Fabian Balbuena faces an uncertain future at the London Stadium whilst Issa Diop is still incredibly rough around the edges.
In addition to that, Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson will be 33 and 31 respectively before the new season starts.

West Ham allegedly chasing Attila Szalai
The Hammers have joined Sevilla in the race to sign the 23-year-old Fenerbahce defender according to A Spor.
Standing at 6ft 4in tall, the 11-capped Hungary international is an imposing figure. He is incredibly strong, athletic and dominant in the air.

A Spor claims that he has impressed so much in just four months with Fenerbahce that the Turkish giants will not sell him for anything less than £23 million.
He obviously has no experience in the Premier League, however. So signing him would represent a risk for West Ham.
What signings don’t have any risk attached, however? Not many, if any at all.
Szalai seems to have all of the ingredients needed to go on and become a truly top class centre-back.
Whether spending £23 million on a central defender when we are in such desperate need of reinforcements in other areas would be a wise move, however, is debatable.
