According to a report from Calico Napoli 24, West Ham United have just submitted an offer for Napoli hitman Arkadiusz Milik.
The Hammers are frantically trying to bring a new striker to the London Stadium after Sebastien Haller left for Ajax last week.
Michail Antonio is the only recognised senior striker at the London Stadium.
If West Ham are to maintain our fine start to the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, the addition of an established centre-forward is absolutely crucial.
Calico Napoli 24 claims that that man could very well be Napoli ace Arkadiusz Milik.
The Italian website claims that the Hammers have made a €7 million (£6.3 million) bid for the 56-capped Poland international.
West Ham on verge of Arkadiusz Milik signing?
The 26-year-old is out of contract with Napoli in the summer. So the Serie A outfit will surely be tempted to sell Milik for that kind of fee rather than risk losing him for nothing in six months time.
West Ham could face competition from Marseille for the Pole’s signature, however (Calico Napoli 24).
The 26-year-old Napoli hitman has scored 114 goals in 271 career club appearances (Transfermarkt).
Milik scored 11 goals last season but he hasn’t played a single game this season.
That will undoubtedly be a huge concern for the West Ham fans. Having said that, £6.3 million seems like outstanding value for a player with Milik’s ability.
It remains to be seen whether the Hammers can tempt the Poland international into moving to the London Stadium, however.
