Report: West Ham go back in for KV Oostende forward Fashion Sakala

West Ham United are lining up a move for KV Oostende forward Fashion Sakala once again according to a report from Voetbal Krant.

The Hammers made Said Benrahma’s deal permanent in order to free up another domestic loan spot and it seems as though that will be taken up by Jesse Lingard.

We are still crying out for an established centre-forward, however.

David Moyes’s side have made a superb start to their 2020/21 Premier League campaign.

We are currently sitting in fifth spot in the table and are incredibly just six points adrift of first placed Manchester City.

If we are to really kick on during the second half of the season, Moyes undoubtedly needs to bring a new striker to the London Stadium.

We absolutely cannot rely upon Michail Antonio for the remainder of the season.

West Ham to swoop in for Fashion Sakala?

The Hammers are keen to bring the 23–year-old KV Oostende striker to East London, according to Voetbal Krant.

West Ham were actually linked with a move to sign the Zambia International back in April (Sports Corna). Those links have gone quiet ever since, however.

Sakala has scored 11 goals in 21 league games for Oostende this season (Transfermarkt).

He can play anywhere along the frontline and is a real handful for opposing defenders.

Standing at 5ft 10 in tall, Sakala is an incredibly mobile striker. He likes to play off the shoulder of the last defender. And is well known for making tireless runs in behind the opposition’s defence and chasing lost causes (

Sakala’s contract is set to expire in the summer. So perhaps West Ham will be able to pick him up for a bargain fee this month.

The Zambian may not be the big game striker that the Hammers fans want to see signed.

He is a real talent, however, and the West Ham faithful should be excited if Moyes brings him to the London Stadium this month.
