The Hammers are desperately short in the centre-forward department.

David Moyes chose not to strengthen his attacking ranks in January.

Whether that was actually his decision or not is debatable.

But we are where we are.

West Ham will do well to maintain their place inside the top six between now and the end of the season.

West Ham eyeing Ivan Toney swoop?

Whatever happens between now and May, the Hammers clearly need to sign one, if not two new strikers in the summer.

And Eurosport claims that Brentford ace Ivan Toney is on West Ham’s radar.

The Athletic claims that the 24-year-old could now be worth a minimum of £20 million.

Ands it is little wonder why. Toney has been in electric form since making his £10 million move to Brentford from Peterborough in the summer of 2020 (Sky Sports).

The 24-year-old would be a truly sensational addition for West Ham in the summer.

Toney has scored 22 goals in 27 Championship games for the Bees this season (Transfermarkt).

The Brentford striker has electric pace, is prolific in front of goal and is a real handful for opposing defenders.

And if West Ham manage to pick him up for somewhere in the region of £20 million in the summer, that would be fantastic business for the east London outfit.
