Arsenal are the latest club to enter the race for West Ham target Dani Ceballos. According to Spanish media outlet El Confidencial, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham are battling for Real Madrid midfielder Ceballos.

Zinedine Zidane is ready to let Ceballos leave this summer. West Ham recently opened talks over a £20m deal, according to The Express. But since then, Arsenal and Spurs have entered the race.

With both North London sides able to offer Ceballos European football, West Ham could struggle to fend off this competition and win the race.

West Ham’s midfield hunt

West Ham have been linked with a number of midfielders. Manuel Pellegrini has identified central midfield as a priority position. But so far, West Ham have tasted disappointment.

Andre Gomes is no longer coming to East London, according to The London Evening Standard, with Isaac Hayden and Jonjo Shelvey the new targets.

But West Ham fans are still holding out for Ceballos. The 22-year-old is a talented midfield playmaker but Real Madrid do not want him. The ex-Real Betis man could be on his way to London.

With over 100 La Liga appearances under his belt, he offers youth and experience. The Spain international would be an ideal choice for West Ham. But can the Hammers beat Arsenal and Spurs to his signature?
