West Ham youngster Reece Oxford is closing in on a permanent exit. According to The Daily Star, Oxford will join FC Augsburg for £4m this summer.
Oxford spent the second half of last season on loan with Bundesliga outfit Augsburg. And with slim chances of playing at West Ham next season, he is likely to complete a permanent move.

Oxford burst onto the scene when he starred on his Premier League debut against Arsenal. Aged just 16 years, he produced a man of the match performance at The Emirates Stadium.
But since then, he has only managed a total of 17 appearances for the Irons. He has struggled to nail down a starting spot under Slaven Bilic, David Moyes and Manuel Pellegrini.
After mixed success on loan at Reading and Borussia Monchengladbach, Oxford played a role in pre-season under Pellegrini last summer.
But the 20-year-old did not make the matchday squad once, even though several other youngsters were given first-team chances. And after Pellegrini snubbed Oxford during a defensive crisis, it was clear that he did not feature in West Ham’s plans.

In January, Oxford completed a loan move to mid-table Bundesliga side Augsburg. He played nine games, including eight in the league, with mixed success.
The 6ft 3in centre-back, who can also play in midfield, was part of a defence which shipped eight goals. And he also received a red card in one of his matches, which cost him his starting spot for several games.
But he did enough to convince Augsburg to sign him permanently. The England U20 international is set to complete a permanent £4m move to Germany this summer.
