West Ham were actually in talks to sign the 48-capped Finland international last summer according to a report from Give Me Sport.

West Ham could sign Rangers star Glen Kamara for a bargain fee

TEAMtalk reckon that the Hammers could sign the 26-year-old Gers ace for just £10 million in January.

However, it is suggested that Aston Villa are leading the race for Kamara.

We think that the midfielder would be a strong addition for West Ham.

Kamara was a crucial player for Steven Gerrard in the 2020/21 season, helping Rangers win the Scottish Premiership title.

In 28 Scottish Premiership appearances for Rangers last season, the 26-year-old bagged three assists. He averaged 1.1 tackle and one interception per game. The Finland international made 61.3 passes per match on average during those outings and recorded a mightily impressive completion rate of 90.8% (Who Scored).

Rangers ace Glen Kamara is a tough-tackling, tenacious central midfielder who has energy and athleticism in abundance.

The 26-year-old would provide genuine competition and cover for Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice and Flynn Downes at the London Stadium.

And West Ham signing him for just £10 million this summer seems like an absolute no-brainer.
