According to a report from Claret and Hugh, West Ham are keen to sell Carlos Sanchez in January, but they expect to get no more than £500,000 for the midfielder.
The 88-capped Colombia international joined the Hammers from Fiorentina in the summer of 2018 for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £4 million, according to the Sun.
Sanchez has been nothing short of an unmitigated disaster at West Ham, however.
The 33-year-old has played just 13 times for the Hammers, and he has failed to notch up either a goal or an assist.
The South American has made absolutely no impact for West Ham. And he is clearly not good enough for the Premier League.
Claret and Hugh claims that Manuel Pellegrini wants to sell Sanchez in January.
The midfielder’s current contract expires in the summer of 2020, however, so it is unlikely that the east London outfit will recoup any kind of significant fee for his services.
In fact, Claret and Hugh suggests that West Ham aren’t expecting any more than £500,000 for Sanchez.
And in truth, it would be miraculous if the Hammers get any kind of fee at all for the Colombian.
The sooner he leaves the London Stadium the better.
