According to a report from French media outlet Le 10 Sport, Marseille have drastically cut their asking price for alleged West Ham target Morgan Sanson, with the Ligue 1 outfit thought to be desperate to raise funds.
Le 10 Sport claimed back in January that the Hammers wanted to sign the 25-year-old midfielder and allegedly had a £30 million bid rejected for the Marseille ace.
It was claimed that the French giants valued Sanson at around £36 million at the time.
But now Le 10 Sport claims that Marseille could sell the Frenchman for as little as £19 million.
And if West Ham could get Sanson for around £19 million, that really would represent excellent value for money for them.
Stats
The 25-year-old has racked up five goals and five assists in 27 Ligue 1 outings for Marseille this season (Transfermarkt).
In those appearances, the Frenchman has averaged 30.1 passes per game, with a very impressive completion rate of 85.9%. He has also averaged 1.1 key passes per game (Who Scored).
Sanson puts in a shift defensively too.
In 27 league appearances, he has averaged 2.2 tackles and 0.9 interceptions per game (Who Scored).
The Marseille ace really does seem to be a wonderful all-round player.
And if West Ham do manage to pick him up for just £19 million in the summer, it could turn out to be a real bargain for the east London outfit.
