The 26-year-old Hammers ace has been in poor form this season. And so has the Mexico international.

Anderson made a decent start to life in England after moving to West Ham from Lazio for £42 million in the summer of 2018 (The Guardian). He racked up 10 goals and five assists in 40 appearances in his debut campaign for the Hammers (Transfermarkt).

The 26-year-old’s form has dipped dramatically this season, however.

Anderson has chalked up just one goal and five assists in 24 games in all competitions for West Ham since August (Transfermarkt).

And Claret and Hugh claimed a couple of days ago that David Moyes could sell the Hammers winger this summer.

Would Lozano be any better than Anderson?

The 39-capped Mexico international, meanwhile, has endured similar struggles this season.

The 24-year-old joined Napoli from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2019 for around €42 million (£36 million), according to Goal.

He has racked up just three goals and two assists in 25 outings for Napoli so far this season (Transfermarkt).

In 16 league games for the Serie A outfit, Lozano has just two goals and one assist to his name. He has averaged just 1.3 shots, 0.8 dribbles and 0.8 key passes per game during those outings (Who Scored).

The 24-year-old proved what he is capable of during his time with PSV, however. He racked up 40 goals and 23 assists in 79 appearances for the Eredivisie outfit.

It could be argued that on his day, Anderson easily as good, if not better, than Lozano.

Perhaps it might be too early for West Ham to give up on the Brazilian.

If West Ham were to move him on, however, bringing Lozano in as a replacement wouldn’t be the worst move int he world.
