According to a report from the Guardian, Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne could be an option for West Ham this month, as they look to bolster their ranks following Ryan Fredericks’ injury.

The 27-year-old Hammers man limped off against Gillingham in the FA Cup on Sunday night, and could be out for up to seven weeks according to reliable insider ExWHUemployee:

And with Pablo Zabaleta set to be called upon as the former Fulham man’s replacement, West Ham must make signing a new right-back one of their priorities this month.

The Guardian claims that Liverpool ace Nathaniel Clyne could be on the Hammers’ radar.

Good signing?

On his day, the 28-year-old is one of the best attacking full-backs in the league. He has had his problems with injuries over the past couple of years, however, and he is certainly not as explosive as he once was.

Goal claimed in the summer that Liverpool were prepared to sell Clyne for around £15 million, but his value has surely dropped since then.

The former Southampton and Crystal Palace ace, who earns £70,000 per week according to Spotrac, is from London, so a move to West Ham might just appeal to him.

And if the Hammers can pick him up on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for a reasonable price, it would surely be considered as a good move for the east London outfit.
