West Ham, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are three clubs who could make summer moves for Franck Kessie, according to Calciomercato.
AC Milan value the midfielder at €40m, meaning West Ham would need to splash around £35m on him this summer.
Whether the Hammers can afford that, given the reportedly low transfer budget, surely depends on player sales.
But West Ham have still been mentioned – alongside the North London duo – as potential destinations for Kessie if AC Milan cash in.
Franck Kessie: the missing link at West Ham
West Ham need a box-to-bix midfielder to fill in alongside Declan Rice and Mark Noble. And Kessie fits the bill perfectly. The 22-year-old has the perfect blend of youth and experience with over 150 career appearances under his belt at such a young age.
Kessie is an energetic and skilful midfielder, capable of doing both his defensive and attacking duties. This season, he has scored five goals and provided one assist in 30 Serie A games.
The Ivory Coast international has previously represented Atalanta and Cesena in Italy. But West Ham could offer him a path to England.
Although the Irons cannot offer Kessie European football, unlike Arsenal or Spurs, he would get more first-team opportunities in East London.
Kessie is the missing link in West Ham’s midfield and would be an ideal signing if West Ham could find the £35m to snap him up.
