According to Marca Argentina, West Ham are near the front of the queue for Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi.
West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are the two teams leading the race for Otamendi, who is set to leave Man City in the summer.
Otamendi has fallen down the pecking order this season. But he has plenty of offers ahead of the summer. European and Chinese Super League clubs are reportedly ready to rival West Ham and Wolves.

Who is Nicolas Otamendi?
Otamendi is a central defender who has been at Manchester City since his 2015 move from Spanish club Valencia.
The 31-year-old has since played over 150 games for the Citizens and he has won several trophies, including the Premier League title.
But this season, Otamendi has slipped out of the first-team. The Argentina international has played 30 matches but only has 14 Premier League starts to his name.
Pep Guardiola favours John Stones, Vincent Kompany and Aymeric Laporte at centre-back. Consequently, Otamendi needs to force an exit to keep his Argentina spot.
West Ham could be hunting for a new centre-half this summer. Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena are the first-choice options while Angelo Ogbonna provides back-up.
Winston Reid returns next season but Manuel Pellegrini still wants another option. Otamendi could be Pellegrini’s man.
