West Ham are reportedly looking at AC Milan winger Suso ahead of the January transfer window.
According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Fiorentina, Sevilla, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham could all move for Suso this winter. AC Milan are open to selling the former Liverpool winger, who has had a slow start to the season.
Suso is not short of suitors despite his poor run of form. Fiorentina might try to raid their Serie A counterparts, while there are offers abroad. Wolves and West Ham offer Suso the chance to return to England – five years after leaving Liverpool in January 2015.
Who is Suso?
Suso is a diminutive but skilful winger who has impressed at AC Milan in the past. In four-and-a-half-years at the San Siro, the left-footed star has racked up a tally of 144 games, 23 goals and 36 assists.
Prior to his permanent move to AC Milan, Suso played 21 times for Liverpool, scoring once and providing one assist. He has also spent time on loan at Almeria and Genoa but he could leave AC Milan permanently.
This season, Suso has managed eight outings and has been criticised for his displays. After yet another poor performance recently, AC Milan fans protested against the 5-cap Spain international and demanded his sale in January.
The 25-year-old could be on the look-out for a new club with West Ham supposedly keen. Manuel Pellegrini does need a new winger but is Suso the right fit? He would be a risk given his loss of confidence this season.
